About Us – Goodies Corner SL
We are three childhood friends who own and operate a large candy store in sunny Fuengirola, Spain. Our friendship began when we were just six years old. Life eventually took us in different directions, with one of us moving to Spain eight years ago.
One sunny day, the friend who had settled in Spain was heading to a local shop for a drink. By pure coincidence, he ran into the other two of us—his childhood friends—who had just arrived in Spain on vacation and happened to stop at that very store. The moment felt serendipitous, like the universe was bringing us back together for a reason.
We spent two wonderful weeks reconnecting, enjoying each other’s company, and reflecting on what was missing in Spain. We realized there was a lack of high-quality candy and the kind of warm, friendly service we were used to in Sweden. Half-joking, we said, "What if we opened a candy shop together?"
That passing thought soon became a serious conversation. The more we talked about it, the more real it became. The two of us still living in Sweden began traveling back and forth to Spain, looking for a place to start this dream.
Then we found it—a spacious 250 square meter location, almost abandoned, right below the apartment of our friend who lived in Spain. No other location in the city gave us the same feeling. We reached out to the property owner immediately and started the long journey of setting up shop.
Navigating the Spanish authorities and licensing process was no small feat, but on June 21, 2024, Goodies Corner SL officially opened its doors. Since then, the community has embraced us. We've built a loyal customer base that supports us and even shares helpful tips to help us grow.
This is just the beginning. With friendship at the heart of our business and a shared love for sweets and service, we’re excited to continue growing Goodies Corner together.
